We researched many treatment centers and thanks to you, I’m so glad that we selected Exclusive Hawaii Rehab for my wife’s alcohol addiction. The 30 days at your facility for her was incredible!

She absolutely loved the staff and the facility. They really took good care of her. I was apprehensive when she first went there but talking with her and hearing how good she was being treated and sounded gave me relief.

She has now been alcohol free for two months ~ 30 days at the center and 30 days back home. She is doing incredibly well. She’s back to being her normal, happy, positive self again.

Thank you Exclusive Hawaii Rehab!

#1 Residential Drug Rehab in O’ahu

Exclusive Hawaii Rehab – O’ahu is a luxury wellness center located on the Big Island of Hawaii. We are the number one drug rehab in O’ahu because of our customized combination of holistic treatment methods with evidence-based therapy and high-quality clinical care, 100% tailored to your specific needs, preferences and to help you meet your goals for the future as you relax and enjoy our incredible first-class amenities and accommodations in a tropical paradise.

Drug addiction is a complex issue, and it can happen to anybody, given the right combination of circumstances. People may begin to use drugs because it is a normalized activity in their community or workplace because they are self-medicating for pain or symptoms of mental illness because they have had exposure to trauma or are trying to mitigate stress. Some people are just curious or bored when they first start using drugs.

Whatever the catalyst, one thing all people with drug addictions have in common is that at some point their pattern of use became problematic, and a physical and/or psychological dependence formed, usually after a prolonged period of use. Now you need to use the drug just to get through the day or feel normal.

Drugs can affect more than just the body. They affect the overall chemistry of the brain, causing changes in processes that affect memory, stress levels, resistance skills, judgment, self-control/impulsivity, and decision-making. There are behavioral and emotional components to addiction that, when combined with these chemical changes, create the cycle of addiction. At Exclusive Hawaii Rehab – O’ahu we will help you break this cycle through our effective detox and rehab programs.

It is not something to feel shame around. A substance use disorder is powerful and destructive, but with the right support and care, you can make core changes in your beliefs and actions that will get you out of this cycle of use and back into your life as a healthy and sober person.

At Exclusive Hawaii Rehab – O’ahu, you are much more than your addiction. We do not see you as just another addict who can’t control themselves. We know that you are an intelligent and complex individual, who has had many successes in your life and just needs a little guidance with this issue. Coming to us to get help is something to be proud of, and at Exclusive Hawaii Rehab, we will never use shame, fear, or use any dogmatic approach to tell you what to do. Instead, our non-12-step program will engage your deeply held beliefs and wisdom, empowering you to come to your own conclusions. You are the expert on your own body, life, and health, and we will collaborate with you to help you find your own way through this process of rehabilitation.

The first step in any program at Exclusive Hawaii Rehab is the detox phase. Many people dread this part of quitting drugs, because of the inherent discomfort. At Exclusive Hawaii Rehab, we will use a combination of slow tapering from the drugs, medical care, therapy, and specific holistic treatments that will engage your inner resilience, helping you remain mindful and strong as you go through this difficult time.

When you first check in to our facility, we will do a full medical and psychiatric screening to measure your level of addiction and ensure you are healthy enough to detox outside of a hospital setting. We also check for undiagnosed mental illness, as these are often present alongside addiction. We can provide dual diagnosis treatments to help get to the root of your co-occurring conditions at the same time, helping you move on with your full body and mind under control.

You will move into a private or shared room in our inpatient facility and begin your detox. This process differs, depending on which drug(s) you are detoxing from, but we will keep you safe and as comfortable as possible during this time.

The doctor on site is a naturopathic doctor who can do bloodwork to find out which nutrients you may need to supplement, prescribing diet augmentation and IV therapy, both of which will greatly ease discomfort through this period. Our nursing staff will check in with you regularly, monitoring your progress and ensuring your symptoms don’t become dangerous, and prescription medications can be provided by our doctor if needed.

During the day you will follow a predetermined treatment schedule, filled with therapy, medical visits, and bodywork treatments to help you deal with physical discomfort, as well as any unwanted thoughts and emotions that may come up. We will begin the work on finding the underlying causes of your addiction and helping you move toward a new healthy and balanced lifestyle.

We can get your body stable, so you can fully heal and take in your rehabilitation treatments when you move into our next phase, a 30-, 60-, or 90-day stay in inpatient rehab. This is where you will dig deep and find the underlying root of your addiction. It will be hard work, but at Exclusive Hawaii rehab – O’ahu we balance this with our relaxing environment, restorative holistic treatments, good food, luxurious amenities, and fun Hawaiian outings.

How Long is Rehab?

When you decide to go into rehab, you want to know how much time it’s going to take for you to go through the entire program, especially if you have a busy life you need to get back to. The answer is not the same for everybody. You are a unique person with your own wellness goals and health concerns, and so we will work with you to ensure you are getting all the support and help you need, without disrupting your life.

A bonus aspect about staying with us at Exclusive Hawaii Rehab is that you can always use your phone and laptop computer while in our care, so you do not have to completely isolate yourself from work, school, or family as you heal. We will help you plan your days to work around your schedule, whatever that may look like. We foster a collaborative environment, and we can customize not only your treatment plan but also your schedule to best suit your needs.

There are three main inpatient rehab timelines we offer at clients: 30-day, 60-day, and 90-day, but we also encourage any of our patients to remain in care for even a few days longer if we have room, as each moment you spend in rehab will be beneficial to you.

30 Day Inpatient Drug Rehab in O’ahu

At Exclusive Hawaii Rehab, our 30-day program is the minimum stay we offer for residential rehab because we know that you need at least this much time to truly be able to make core changes that will stick. It takes time away from your usual people, places, and stresses to be able to get comfortable, open up, and get to the deep down trauma and pain that are lying below the surface.

60 Day Inpatient Drug Rehab in O’ahu

Some people may require a longer time in inpatient rehab to be able to reach their optimal health and wellness goals. A 60-day program at Exclusive Hawaii Rehab will allow you to take extra time to focus on yourself and get to the underlying causes of your addictions, including working on mental illness in a dual diagnosis program.

90 Day Inpatient Drug Rehab in O’ahu

A 90-day stay in Exclusive Hawaii Rehab inpatient rehab is the best choice for anybody who has a dual diagnosis for a co-occurring condition, anybody who is resistant to treatment, or anybody with a history of relapsing. You will not only have three full months to be able to heal your mind and body, but you will have plenty of time to regain parts of yourself you may have forgotten due to drug addiction.

Types of Drug Addictions We Treat

Some of the drug addictions we treat most frequently include:

  • Stimulants like Ritalin, Dexedrine, and amphetamine
  • Prescription Sleeping Pills like Ambien, Sonata, or Lunesta
  • Benzodiazepines like Klonopin, Valium, Ativan and Xanax
  • Painkillers/opioid drugs like methadone, Demerol, Vicodin, oxycontin, codeine, and Percocet
  • Illicit drugs like cocaine, crack, heroin and meth
  • Alcohol

Inpatient Heroin Rehab in O’ahu

Heroin is a highly addictive opioid drug that produces a feeling of euphoria in its users by binding to opioid receptors in the brain and body. It is found as a white or brown powder, or a black sticky substance (black tar heroin), and it can be smoked, snorted, or injected.

Heroin affects the parts of the brain that control feelings of pain and pleasure, heart rate, sleeping, and breathing, with a risk of overdose when the drug depresses the parts of the brain that control breathing, causing hypoxia, brain damage, and even death. This risk is compounded when heroin is used alongside other drugs or alcohol. There is also a risk of unhealthy additives being mixed into the heroin, causing irreparable internal damage, and the risk of infectious disease comes with sharing needles and making other decisions using impaired judgment.

When you stop using heroin, you will have withdrawal symptoms that begin within a few hours, including:

  •       Muscle and bone pain
  •       Uncontrollable leg movements
  •       Cold flashes with goosebumps
  •       Diarrhea, vomiting, stomach pain, and other gastrointestinal issues
  •       Sleep problems
  •       Flu-like symptoms
  •       Severe drug cravings

We have heroin detox and rehab programs that are 100% customized to your needs and specifications so that you can taper off your use and detox safely without suffering under the care of a medical team, and through our program change your core mindset to truly be able to stop using drugs. You may require a longer rehab period for heroin than other drugs, as the withdrawal symptoms can come back for weeks or months after detox is over. Through our longer inpatient rehab programs, combined with outpatient care, we can help you through this addiction and out the other side, with continued support for as long as you need it.

Inpatient Cocaine Rehab in O’ahu

Cocaine is a drug that is glamourized in the media and is known for its use in high-powered and fast-paced industries. At first, as a stimulant drug that causes brief euphoria, increased alertness, and a sense of empowerment, cocaine may feel like a wonder drug that energizes you and helps you succeed in all aspects of your life.

The drug does this by raising dopamine levels quickly, but then comes the crash. Coming down from cocaine produces low mood, sadness, depression, and lethargy, which is why it is such an addictive drug. You will want to use more to remove withdrawal symptoms, causing a cycle of use that makes the brain become unable to produce dopamine without cocaine in your system, making it impossible to feel normal levels of happiness or pleasure without the drug.

This is the unspoken reality of cocaine use. By snorting, injecting, or smoking it like crack, you are exposing yourself to a life of addiction, as well as health risks including:

  •       Adverse psychological effects, cognitive impairment, and other neurological problems in the brain
  •       Nose issues like loss of smell, nosebleeds, irritation to the septum
  •       Unknown additives causing adverse reactions
  •       Loss of appetite leading to severe malnourishment
  •       Tears and ulcers in the gastrointestinal tract
  •       Cardiovascular issues, chest pain, increased risk of stroke, inflammation of the heart, aortic ruptures, etc.
  •       An increase in sensitivity to the toxic properties of the drug increases the risk of an overdose.

Many of these issues will need to be stabilized and monitored by medical professionals as you detox and rehabilitate, to ensure you remain healthy as you stop using the drug. Your withdrawal symptoms from cocaine may include:

  •       Depression
  •       Nightmares
  •       Restlessness
  •       Headache
  •       Irritability
  •       Paranoia
  •       Fatigue
  •       General malaise

Because cocaine addiction is largely psychological, there is a high risk of relapsing, even after a long period of abstinence, because the thought of using the drug can trigger strong cravings for the experience. Therapy to work on underlying causes of addiction, combined with gaining the skills you will need to use when these cravings come up is the key to a sustained recovery. We will help you be ready for triggers through our Experiential Engagement Therapy treatments, with hands-on practice for what to do when dealing with strong cravings.

Experience True Healing

Our deeply-caring staff and the surrounding natural beauty offer an unparalleled healing experience.

Inpatient Oxy Rehab in O’ahu

Many people who are now addicted to oxy began by being prescribed as a long-lasting pain relief drug for chronic pain. Whether it was given to you by a doctor who did not explain the ramifications of taking an opioid drug, you tried a friend’s prescription out of curiosity, or you bought it on the street, its powerful addictive properties got you hooked.

Oxy, like heroin, binds to opioid receptors in your body, causing you to feel a false sense of euphoria. The body quickly develops a tolerance, causing you to need to take more to get the same effect, craving it when you do not have access to it, and soon you cannot stop using it without experiencing uncomfortable withdrawal symptoms like:

  •       Restlessness
  •       Irritation
  •       Insomnia
  •       Muscle aches and cramps
  •       Yawning
  •       and flu-like symptoms
  •       Blurred vision
  •       Nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramps, and diarrhea
  •       Reduced appetite
  •       Shivering uncontrollably
  •       Rapid heartbeat
  •       High blood pressure

If a person can no longer get their prescriptions for oxy refilled, they may turn to heroin for a less expensive, more accessible, comparable high. It is important to stop the use of oxy under professional care when you realize you have a dependence, because of the risk of further addiction, leading to a risk of overdose and death. Oxy depresses the respiratory system and decreases blood pressure, leading to seizures, comas, cardiac arrest, and death, especially if you are snorting, injecting, or ingesting crushed time-release tablets.

Our medical and holistic teams at Exclusive Hawaii Rehab will help you through your detox period, monitoring your symptoms and ensuring you do not suffer. We will help you work through your underlying pain and trauma, help you discover the sober person you want to be, and then help you set attainable goals to get there. You will have all the support you need through our rehab program, and if you want it, we also offer up to six months of outpatient care to ensure you remain connected to a sober community in case your drug cravings return

Inpatient Meth Rehab in O’ahu

Methamphetamine is a highly addictive central nervous system stimulant drug that can lead to rapid dependency because of the rush of dopamine it produces in the brain. People use the drug for days at a time because it feels so good, using higher and higher doses to get the same high, causing a heavy addiction.

Meth withdrawal symptoms include:

  •       Agitation
  •       Insomnia
  •       Excessive sweating
  •       Tremors
  •       Weakness
  •       Muscle pain
  •       Nausea
  •       Confusion
  •       Depression sometimes leads to suicidal thoughts
  •       Paranoia or delusions
  •       Severe dehydration
  •       Strong drug cravings

Medical oversight is very important with meth detox because some of these symptoms can negatively affect your health or even lead to death if untreated. We will keep you safe and hydrated, providing you with full clinical, psychiatric, and holistic support through this difficult time.

Inpatient Benzo Rehab in O’ahu

Benzodiazepines are prescribed to treat anxiety, insomnia, and panic disorders, producing feelings of relaxation and calm, but can lead to dangerous sedative effects like depressed breathing when abused, especially when taken with other drugs or alcohol.

Withdrawal symptoms from benzos include:

  •       Anxiety
  •       Shaking
  •       Increased heart rate
  •       Light and sound sensitivity
  •       Seizures

It is recommended to slowly taper off these drugs under medical supervision. When you stop using benzos sometimes long-term effects like depression, insomnia and anxiety can persist. The recommended course of action is to stay in rehab for a minimum of 30 days, to ensure you have all the support you need as your body recalibrates itself.

Inpatient Prescription Drug Rehab in O’ahu

At Exclusive Hawaii Rehab, we also treat prescription drug addiction, including:

  •       Painkillers, opiates, and opioids like methadone, oxycontin, codeine, Demerol, Vicodin, and Percocet.
  •       Benzodiazepines (Benzos) like Klonopin, Ativan, Valium and Xanax
  •       Stimulants like Ritalin, Adderall, Dexedrine, and amphetamines
  •       Sleeping Pills like Ambien, Sonata, or Lunesta
