We researched many treatment centers and thanks to you, I’m so glad that we selected Exclusive Hawaii Rehab for my wife’s alcohol addiction. The 30 days at your facility for her was incredible!

She absolutely loved the staff and the facility. They really took good care of her. I was apprehensive when she first went there but talking with her and hearing how good she was being treated and sounded gave me relief.

She has now been alcohol free for two months ~ 30 days at the center and 30 days back home. She is doing incredibly well. She’s back to being her normal, happy, positive self again.

Thank you Exclusive Hawaii Rehab!

#1 Inpatient – Residential Drug Rehab – Maui

Drug addiction is not a character flaw, nor is it something to feel ashamed of. It is a complex issue that is about much more than just self-control, and usually concerns deeper underlying issues including trauma and mental health conditions. Some people may be curious or bored when they begin using drugs, and others may be self-medicating for pain or to try and treat psychological issues. Substance use disorders can affect anybody, and the way drugs and alcohol change the brain can make quitting feel like it is impossible.

At Exclusive Hawaii Rehab, we are here to help you stop using drugs for good. We are a luxury rehab clinic on the Big Island of Hawaii, also known as the “healing island”, and we have an integrated drug rehab program that combines holistic and traditional Hawaiian treatments with state-of-the-art medical care and modern psychological therapies into an effective whole-patient approach. Our goal is not to list steps you must take to “get better”, rather we empower you, through deep introspection and questioning your own beliefs, to come to your own conclusions about what is best for you, and then help you reach your sobriety goals. You know your body best, and we are here to facilitate your healing.

Experience True Healing

Our deeply-caring staff and the surrounding natural beauty offer an unparalleled healing experience.

When you detox from most drugs that have caused a physical dependence, there is a period of tapering off that needs to occur. We can assist you in this process, providing therapy, holistic care, and treatments at the same time so you get the most out of each day you are with us.

Our treatment programs are a minimum of 30 days in length, with increases of 30-day increments. Because some people become addicted to prescription drugs and painkillers due to mental illness and chronic pain, we can provide a dual diagnosis plan that addresses the underlying causes of addiction, and provide alternative treatments that may lessen your overall pain and provide relief from your mental health symptoms through holistic treatments when possible. You will learn useful techniques like:

  • New ways to deal with stress and anxiety, discomfort and pain through movement, breathing, and stretching techniques
  • Mindfulness meditation can help you remain present in your treatment
  • Learning your own strength and resilience through self-empowerment
  • Questioning your own motives and thoughts to see if they still benefit you

Some drugs, like opioids, may require a longer time in rehab than others, as drug cravings and flu-like symptoms can return unexpectedly. We can add another 30 days to your program if this is the case.

How Long is Rehab?

Rehab takes as long as you need it to take. Everybody is different, and your timeline may be longer or shorter than others, depending on your level of addiction, your physical and mental health, and other factors. Our shortest time frame is 30 days, with the ability to add additional 30-day blocks onto your treatment as needed. For most people, especially those with co-occurring mental health issues, the longer the time spent in residential rehab, the lower the chance of relapse in the future.

30 Day Inpatient Drug Rehab - Maui

The minimum time you can spend in our rehab facility is 30 days. This is the industry standard amount of time for most inpatient rehab programs, as it takes at least a month to be able to change unhelpful habits, regain control over your life, and begin to work through the underlying causes of addiction. Through our integrated treatment plan, you will spend full days in group and individual therapy, counseling, and working on the health of your body through exercise, rest, and nutritional counseling. Learning to be vulnerable and to challenge yourself, you will gain the recovery tools you will need to remain sober once you return home.

60 Day Inpatient Drug Rehab - Maui

Staying in inpatient drug rehab for a full 60-day program will give you the extra time and space away from life’s pressures and stress while providing you with the tools and skills you will need to live life in long-term recovery. We will help you change your perspective, heal, and grow, so you can become the healthy, drug-free person you want to be.

Types of Drug Addictions We Treat

Some of the drug addictions we treat most frequently include:

  • Stimulants like Ritalin, Dexedrine, and amphetamine
  • Prescription Sleeping Pills like Ambien, Sonata, or Lunesta
  • Benzodiazepines like Klonopin, Valium, Ativan, and Xanax
  • Painkillers/opioid drugs like methadone, Demerol, Vicodin, oxycontin, codeine, and Percocet
  • Illicit drugs like cocaine, crack, heroin, and meth
  • Alcohol

Inpatient Heroin Rehab – Maui

Heroin is an opioid drug that affects the parts of the brain that control pain, pleasure, sleep, breathing, and heart rate. It is a white or brown powder or a black sticky substance (black tar heroin) that can be smoked, snorted, or injected. When you stop using heroin, you may experience withdrawal symptoms like:

  • Muscle and bone pain
  • Uncontrollable leg movements
  • Cold flashes with goosebumps
  • Diarrhea, vomiting, stomach pain, and other gastrointestinal issues
  • Sleep problems
  • Flu-like symptoms
  • Severe drug cravings

We offer heroin detox and rehab programs that will help you taper off the drug safely, without suffering, using medical care and holistic treatments to help you through your period of withdrawal. You may need to spend a longer time (60-90 days) in rehab and aftercare after detoxing, as withdrawal symptoms can come back weeks or even months after detox is complete.

Inpatient Cocaine Rehab – Maui

Cocaine is a popular drug addiction for those involved in finance and with our executive-level clients, as it is a stimulant drug that raises dopamine levels quickly. Cocaine can be snorted, injected, or smoked as crack, causing brief feelings of alertness and euphoria, along with a sense of empowerment that causes users to feel empowered and energized. In fast-paced, high-pressure environments, this may sound like a wonder drug,

When you come down off cocaine, you feel the opposite effect, with depression, low mood, sadness, and lethargy taking over, causing the urge to use more, which creates a cycle of use that eventually makes the brain unable to produce dopamine on its own. This makes it impossible to feel normal levels of pleasure or happiness without the drug. You are also putting yourself at risk of heart problems, stomach and gastrointestinal problems, neurological impairment, and other physical issues that may require medical intervention.

When you stop using cocaine, you may experience issues like:

  • General malaise/depression/fatigue
  • Irritability
  • Paranoia
  • Restlessness
  • Headache
  • Nightmares

Cocaine addiction is mainly psychological so there is a high risk of relapse if the underlying issues leading to addiction are not addressed, along with relapse prevention training. Even after a long period of abstinence, seeing drug use or even thinking about it can trigger intense cravings.

Experience True Healing

Our deeply-caring staff and the surrounding natural beauty offer an unparalleled healing experience.

Inpatient Oxy Rehab – Maui

Oxy addiction usually (but not always) starts as a legit prescription for pain pills from a doctor. It is a powerful opioid drug that binds to opioid receptors in the body, causing a sense of euphoria. Although it usually comes in pill or tablet form, it can be crushed and snorted, or injected.

The body quickly develops a tolerance to oxy, causing cravings and the need to take more each time you use it until you cannot stop using it without experiencing symptoms like:

  • Restlessness
  • Irritation
  • Insomnia
  • Muscle aches and cramps
  • Yawning
  • Blurred vision
  • Nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramps, and diarrhea
  • Reduced appetite
  • Shivering uncontrollably
  • Rapid heartbeat
  • High blood pressure
  • Extreme drug craving

It is important to stop using oxy with professional help because the withdrawal symptoms can be difficult to overcome on your own. Through our medical and holistic assistance, we will help you work through this time, along with treatment for underlying pain and trauma, supporting you through rehab and beyond, providing follow-up aftercare as you return home.

Inpatient Meth Rehab – Maui

Methamphetamine is a stimulant drug that is highly addictive due to the rush of dopamine it creates in the brain. People will use the drug for days straight to avoid crashing, which causes a fast and heavy addiction. Meth withdrawal symptoms may include:

  • Agitation
  • Insomnia
  • Excessive sweating
  • Tremors
  • Weakness
  • Muscle pain
  • Nausea
  • Confusion
  • Depression, sometimes leads to suicidal thoughts
  • Paranoia or delusions
  • Severe dehydration
  • Strong drug cravings

Medical care is important when going through meth detox because some of these symptoms can be dangerous, even leading to death if untreated. We will keep you safe and hydrated, providing you with full clinical, psychiatric, and holistic support as the meth leaves your system.

Inpatient Benzo Rehab – Maui

Benzodiazepines are a prescription medication usually given for panic, anxiety, and insomnia, and it produces the sensation of calmness and relaxation. Withdrawal symptoms from benzos include:

  • Anxiety
  • Shaking
  • Increased heart rate
  • Light and sound sensitivity
  • Seizures

These medications require a slow taper under medical supervision to quit safely. If you try to go cold turkey seizures and other dangerous side effects may occur. Sometimes long-term effects like anxiety, depression, and insomnia can last for weeks after detoxing, so a longer 60-90 day rehab program is recommended for those quitting benzos.

Inpatient Prescription Drug Rehab – Maui

We treat various prescription drug addictions using customized therapies, tapering off use safely, and helping the body release toxins through acupuncture, massage therapy, and stretching techniques. Some of the prescription drugs we can help with include:

  • Painkillers
  • Benzodiazepines
  • Stimulants
  • Barbiturates
  • Sleeping Pills
