How Long is Rehab?

The answer to this question is not the same for everybody, as each of our clients has unique needs, preferences, and goals. We customize each person’s program to best fit them, and that includes the timeline. Our addiction experts will work alongside you to determine which program length is right for you, based on your level of addiction, your mental and physical health, your lifestyle, and other considerations.

30 Day Inpatient Drug Rehab – Kauai

At our top rehab in Kauai, the minimum stay we offer is 30 days. This is the least amount of time that it will take for you to be able to make lasting core changes to your actions, thought processes, and mindset. It takes time away from the triggers, places, and people in your life to be able to gain a new perspective on things and decide how you want the rest of your life to look, implement the changes needed to get there and establish new habits and behaviors.

60 Day Inpatient Drug Rehab – Kauai

A longer stay in inpatient rehab will help any of our patients who need extra time to reach their optimal health and wellness goals. Sometimes 30 days is too short a period of time to be able to make long-lasting changes, especially if there are underlying mental health or trauma issues to deal with, and so we encourage anybody who wants to remain in rehab for 60 days or longer to do so.

90 Day Inpatient Drug Rehab – Kauai

90 days in inpatient rehab is the best choice for anybody with a dual diagnosis for a co-occurring condition, anybody who has a history of relapse, or anybody with a serious addiction to opioids or other substances. We also recommend a stay of 90 days to any of our patients who do not feel ready to return home, as the longer you spend in inpatient rehab, the less likely it is that you will relapse.

Types of Drug Addictions We Treat

The types of drug addictions we treat include:

  • Stimulants like Ritalin, Dexedrine, and amphetamine
  • Prescription Sleeping Pills like Ambien, Sonata, or Lunesta
  • Benzodiazepines like Klonopin, Valium, Ativan, and Xanax
  • Painkillers/opioid drugs like methadone, Demerol, Vicodin, oxycontin, codeine, and Percocet
  • Illicit drugs like cocaine, crack, heroin, and meth
  • Alcohol

Inpatient Heroin Rehab – Kauai

Heroin is a highly addictive drug in the opioid family that can be injected, smoked, and snorted. It produces a feeling of euphoria by binding to opioid receptors in the brain and body, slowing down the heart rate and breathing, causing a risk of hypoxia and death. When you stop using heroin, you may experience withdrawal symptoms like:

  • Muscle and bone pain
  • Uncontrollable leg movements
  • Cold flashes with goosebumps
  • Diarrhea, vomiting, stomach pain, and other gastrointestinal issues
  • Sleep problems
  • Flu-like symptoms
  • Severe drug cravings

At Exclusive Hawaii Rehab, we can help you stop using heroin in a safe and effective rehabilitation plan that includes detoxification and an extended rehab plan that will likely require longer than our minimum 30 days to complete, as withdrawal symptoms from heroin can return for weeks or even months after detox is over. With our support and treatments, combined with making core behavioral and mindset changes and our year-long virtual outpatient program, we can help you quit heroin safely, for good.

Our deeply-caring staff and the surrounding natural beauty offer an unparalleled healing experience.

Inpatient Cocaine Rehab – Kauai

Cocaine is a drug that is fast-acting, raising your dopamine levels quickly, giving you energy, confidence, and a sense of empowerment. When you come down from a cocaine high, you will feel the opposite: low mood, sadness, and depression, which is why many people abuse this drug. As this cycle of use continues, the brain stops being able to produce dopamine on its own, making it impossible to feel normal levels of happiness or pleasure without the drug in your system.

Cocaine addiction is mainly psychological, and withdrawal symptoms from cocaine include:

  • Depression
  • Nightmares
  • Restlessness
  • Headache
  • Irritability
  • Paranoia
  • Fatigue
  • General malaise

Because of the psychological dependence cocaine creates, there is a higher risk of relapsing, because even thinking about or seeing the drug can create strong drug cravings that may be difficult to resist. Rehabilitation from this drug involves behavioral programming and emphasis on resistance and recovery tools, so you are ready for these triggers when they come.

Inpatient Oxy Rehab – Kauai

Oxy is an opioid drug that is usually prescribed as long-lasting pain relief for chronic pain. It is powerfully addictive, and like heroin it binds to opioid receptors in your body, causing a sensation of euphoria. The body quickly develops a tolerance, producing cravings and uncomfortable withdrawal symptoms if you try to cut back that may include:

  • Restlessness
  • Irritation
  • Insomnia
  • Muscle aches and cramps
  • Yawning
  • Flu-like symptoms
  • Blurred vision
  • Nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramps, and diarrhea
  • Reduced appetite
  • Shivering uncontrollably
  • Rapid heartbeat
  • High blood pressure

At Exclusive Hawaii Rehab, we can help you through your detoxification period, monitoring your symptoms to make sure you do not suffer at all. Our medical team will be there for you, along with counselors, therapists, and holistic practitioners to ensure your body gets what it needs and you have helped through any fear, trauma, or unwanted emotions during this time.

Once detox is complete, you will have full support in a 30- to a 90-day rehab program, along with up to one year of outpatient aftercare treatment once you return home, which can help keep you on track if your drug cravings or other temptations return.

Inpatient Meth Rehab – Kauai

Methamphetamine (meth) is a central nervous system stimulant drug that is highly addictive because of the short-lived dopamine rush it produces in the brain. People will use the drug continuously for days at a time to avoid the eventual come down, causing issues like malnutrition and even psychosis. Eventually, higher doses are needed to stave off withdrawal, causing addiction.

Withdrawal symptoms from meth may include:

  • Agitation and confusion
  • Insomnia
  • Sweating
  • Muscle pain and weakness
  • Nausea
  • Extreme dehydration
  • Paranoia or delusions
  • Depression
  • Strong drug cravings

Medical oversight is important when treating meth addiction, as is psychiatric care. Along with our holistic and nutritional practitioners, our doctors and therapists on site will ensure you remain healthy and comfortable as you detox from meth, so you can move forward in your rehabilitation treatment.

Inpatient Benzo Rehab – Kauai

Benzodiazepines (Benzos) are drugs that are prescribed to treat anxiety, panic disorders, and sleep issues. They produce sensations of relaxation and calm but can lead to dangerous sedative effects when abused, especially when mixed with alcohol or other drugs. Stopping benzo use suddenly is not recommended, as withdrawal symptoms like anxiety, increased heart rate, shaking, light sensitivity, and even seizures can occur.

At Exclusive Hawaii Rehab, we can help you taper off your benzo use slowly, with medical and holistic treatments available to ease anxiety and another discomfort.

Inpatient Prescription Drug Rehab – Kauai

Prescription drug addiction is a common affliction, especially if you are prescribed drugs that flood your brain with dopamine or otherwise get you high. Your tolerance can easily grow over time, until your body creates a physical dependence on the substance, leading to addiction.

At Exclusive Hawaii Rehab, we treat addiction to prescription medications, including:

  • Painkillers, opiates, and opioids like methadone, oxycontin, codeine, Demerol, Vicodin, and Percocet.
  • Benzodiazepines (Benzos) like Ativan, Klonopin, Valium and Xanax
  • Stimulants like Ritalin, Dexedrine, Adderall, and amphetamines
  • Sleeping Pills like Lunesta, Ambien, or Sonata
