Izzy Starr serves as a Residential Aide at The Exclusive, where her role is to walk alongside clients through the recovery process and offer support wherever it’s needed. Sober for over two years, Izzy brings the perspective of her own healing journey from addiction and mental health challenges to her work — meeting residents from a place of genuine empathy and lived understanding. She is most inspired by witnessing other people’s healing journeys and the strength it takes to begin one.
Izzy moved to the Big Island over a year ago and has come to love the people, the culture, and the deep sense of healing the island has given her. Outside of work, she fills her time with photography, playing ukulele, swimming, making art, and unwinding with a good show or movie. Her biggest wish for clients is that they dive fully into their experience at The Exclusive and leave with a set of tools to carry with them — along with the compassion and love for themselves that makes long-term recovery possible.
