Registered Nurse (RN)
Cindy’s compassionate and kind nature has led her to a life of helping others and continues at Exclusive Hawaii Rehab as one of Exclusive Hawaii’s Registered Nurses. She has experience in both adult and pediatric emergency departments and level 1 trauma centers. Emergency rooms are often frontline for initial addiction and substance abuse treatment, as well as for mental health emergencies. She also has experience working in culturally diverse environments around the world, including the Middle East and Asia.
She also holds a long list of certifications including, Advance Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support Course (PALS), and Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC), as well as specialty training in Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter (PICC) line placement and IV/infusions teams. Cindy is also a Certified Bowen Therapist, which is a gentile holistic bodywork treatment that acts like a reset button, treating the whole person and the cause rather than the symptoms.
Her biggest hope for clients in recovery is that they can create true healing for themselves and be their authentic selves.
Cindy has always been an avid outdoors woman, one of the many reasons that she was drawn to Hawaii. Before moving to the Big Island 5 years ago, she lived in the wild Ozark hills and rivers of Missouri. She is inspired by beauty and raw nature, she enjoys landscaping, kayaking, and swimming during her time away from work. She is also a professional artist and painter working in encaustic, an ancient technique using beeswax, pigments, and resins.
